Now is the time to secure your tickets for this prestigious event.
The women’s championship will be held May 19-24, 2017, followed by the men’s finals May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms. Designed, built and owned by NIU alumnus Jerry Rich, renowned Rich Harvest Farms serves as the home to the NIU men’s and women’s golf programs and is ranked by Golf Digest magazine as one of “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.”
NIU is preparing to host its first NCAA championship in any sport since becoming a major college program in 1969. The 2017 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s golf championships promise to be a tremendous two weeks of collegiate golf with activities for the entire family.
“What a tremendous honor for NIU, Huskie Athletics and our entire region to host our first NCAA championship event at a course like Rich Harvest Farms,” said NIU Associate Vice-President and Director of Athletics Sean T. Frazier. “We appreciate Jerry Rich and the staff at Rich Harvest Farms for all the time and effort they have already dedicated, along with our staff, to making this the best championship possible for the student-athletes from across the country who will compete in these events.”
Daily grounds tickets start at $10, with the option to purchase a week-long or event-long grounds pass. Students younger than 18 will receive free grounds admission when attending with a paying adult.
The NCAA Experience, an upscale venue in the middle of all the action, will allow ticket holders the opportunity to upgrade their tournament experience. Those tickets, which include VIP parking, will provide guests with complimentary food, non-alcoholic beverages and two complimentary alcoholic beverages of their choice. “All of us at Rich Harvest Farms and Northern Illinois University are very excited to host the 2017 NCAA Division I men’s and women’s golf championships. Over the course of the two weeks, we will need to fill more than 2,000 volunteer shifts,” said Vicky McGowan, Rich Harvest Farms tournament director. “In the past, we have been so thankful for how the community has come out to support and help us with our tournaments. No event of this magnitude can run successfully without dedicated volunteers.”
