About Northern Now

About Northern Now

Northern Now, the quarterly e-magazine of Northern Illinois University, provides news and information about NIU and is sent in the fall, winter, spring, and summer. The fall and spring issues are sent to all alumni, donors, and friends of NIU whose addresses are in our database. The winter and summer issues are sent to alumni of the last five years, dues-paying members of the NIU Alumni Association, and donors to the university.

Class Note Policy:

NIU alumni are welcome and encouraged to submit their news for class notes. An alumnus/a is any individual who was enrolled in a degree program of Northern Illinois University for four consecutive semesters or longer.

Class note submissions are received from individual alumni, press releases, and other published sources. The status of each alumnus/a mentioned in the class note submission is verified; however, Northern Illinois University is not responsible for the information contained in the submission. Websites and e-mail addresses will be printed if provided by the individual alumnus/a.

Class notes submitted to individual NIU departments, Northern Now, the Alumni Association, or the online alumni community may be published in the magazine, posted online, or published in other newsletters. Northern Illinois University reserves the right to use editorial discretion in the posting of a class note; the submission of a class note does not guarantee publication.
